LIVE Introduction to Cation Exchange Water Softening

This LIVE instructor-led course, taught remotely over Zoom, provides a thorough introduction to ion exchange and water softening systems. Topics include how softeners function and how to calculate system capacity. The course will go over softener components, regeneration processes (co-current vs. counter-current), system types, and efficiency factors such as salt usage and resin selection. Learners will also explore pretreatment options, installation challenges, and waste disposal options. The course consists of two one-hour-long instructor-led sessions and three interactive eLearning activities designed to reinforce key concepts and support practical application.
